If I'm making a mistake at least it's mine...
Wow I'm so happy you're interested in my boring long history! Well I guess if we just met and you want to become friends, this is a good place to start learning about me?
Dial-up Land and Prewebsite Phase
I first started coming online in 6th Grade in the year 2002. Back then we used this really horrible dial-up internet called Bluelight. As an 11 year old, you can imagine what I did? Yep! I went to sites like Fox Kids and Kids WB to play games!
Eventually we stopped using Bluelight and started using NetZero. NetZero was actually pretty nice for dial-up standards. At this point in time, my Legend of Zelda obsession had rose up again from when I was 7 years old, so I began my surfing of gaming sites. The very first site I came across was TempleofTime.com (now dead). When I look back now, there were definately so many better Legend of Zelda sites, but in my eyes, Temple of Time was absolutely amazing. I talked with the webmaster now and then hoping to get on the staff but the site died before anything happened.
Forums Phase
With the site was gone, I migrated over to a new Legend of Zelda site, Team Anti. I joined the Forums there and thus began my "forums" phase. When I got promoted to a moderator psotion I got SO excited I wrote the day in my Agenda book. Then on, I started getting obsessed with forums. Right now I'm not active at Team Anti, but I still visit it now and then for memory's sake.
At Team Anti, I met one of the nicest people ever, True_Hero_of_Time (I called him THoT), and together we went through the forum phase. In fact, we've followed each other to so many different forums. The first was "The Sacred Realm" where I was a member of his forum. Then he came over to my forum called "Final Fantasy Portal" (which was ironically inspired by the portal link on InvisionPower forums). At this point, I had picked up my first Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy X and absolutely loved it!
I probably joined over 100 forums during that 2 year period. Some of which I actually became moderators with like at Final Fantasy Forum and Katsue Anime Forums (which has been on hiatus for about 2 years). It was one day at a forum called "Spira's Final Hope" where I began my website making career though. That was the day Justin introduced me to Xenosaga.
General Website Phase
I cannot believe how lucky I feel that Justin introduced me to Xenosaga. I am still so obsessed about it now (3 years later) that my oldest site is a general Xenosaga shrine. This was when I began turning away from forums to actual websites themselves. I began the "pre-Xeno Star" site called Xenosaga Shrine here on Geocites. It was really small, had tons of errors, and was actually modeled after a website I totally admired, but I put in so much work. Eventually, MOMO (my friend who was helping me) and I decided Xenosaga Shrine was too generic of a name. That's when we decided to change the name to "Xeno Star." It was still here on Geocities, but I progressed so much into developing my own webmaking style.
Eventually we began looking for someone to host us so we could get off of dreaded Geocities. At first we chose Ninhost but that site went down and never came back up. Eventually I found Arei's "Kurai Shukumei" and we became her second hostee. We both loved Xenosaga so she loved hosting us. This is when Xeno Star flourished. Xenosaga II had just come out and I had a great staff (in fact Xeno Star won "Best Staff" and "Best Media" at the Squared Awards that Summer). Chin Soon, a webmaster I absolutely admired joined and helped me. Link, my very best online friend, also helped and everything seemed to be going great. [Eventually Chin Soon and Link branched off to their own sites of Koei Warriors and Sealed Angel].
However, after Xenosaga III came out in August 2006, Xeno Star's updates slowed tremendously to the rather limp state its in right now. Although I appreciate Jay for hosting me, the server change from Kurai Shukumei to Ethereal Destination was rather strenious on the situation as well. This is about when MOMO (my best friend in real life) showed me the wonderful blogging tool called Livejournal.
Livejournal Roleplaying Phase
At first I ignored my Livejournal and posted maybe once a month, but as my interest in general websites dimished, my interest in Livejournal enhanced. I joined the local Xenosaga and Viola communities and began to really see how wonderful Livejournal is. Then I was introduced to a small Role Play for Xenosaga called We All Float. That's where I met all the Waffles and began my Roleplaying hobbies, extending out to several new RPs as well.
Present Phase
Currently I'm still in Livejournal Roleplaying phase, but I only recently started collective making. I started out by making a small Peppita shrine because of Peppita bashers. Then when all three MOMO shrines online disappeared, I made one to her. All these shrines were remotely hosted all over, usually with the help of one of my Waffles. Then I linked it together on a collective Griffin hosted for me. It was called "Sparrow Arrow," inspired by MOMO's Episode II Tech. However, everything was still remotely hosted, and Sparrow Arrow was nothing more than a Portal of Links to websites I owned.
A while later, I bought this domain [Silver Wind] with the help of Eliza. So now you're up to seed with what I've done online. Here's a cookie for being so patient and reading everything! *gives cookie*
